Executive Director Testifies at Aging and Older Adult Services Committee's Formal Meeting on Assisted Living Laws and Regulations.

Ms. Margie Zelenak, our Executive Director of PALA, testified at a recent informational meeting on the state of Assisted Living Residences  in Pennsylvania. Rep. Tim Hennessey, Committee Chairman, held the meeting to discuss the lack of licensed Assisted Living Residences (ALR) and the barriers that Personal Care Homes (PCH) encountered in their desire to seek an ALR license. PALA is preparing comments for the Committee to make changes to the Law that would enable more PCH providers to become licensed ALR should they choose to do so.
