HHS announces funding for private pay senior living providers.

Argentum President, James Balda, announced the HHS decision to provide funding for private pay assisted living. This includes Personal Care Homes and Assisted Living Residences in Pennsylvania.

Last night,  HHS formally announced a private pay distribution from the CARES Act provider relief funds for licensed assisted living providers. As anticipated based on recent discussions, the distribution model mirrors that of the Medicaid distribution previously announced and will total 2 percent of annual gross revenue for private pay providers that submit an application and are validated by HHS.

Private pay providers can submit an application by visiting hhs.gov/providerrelief and the deadline for applications is September 13.

PALA thanks Argentum for their advocacy efforts to obtain this much needed funding to assist providers that are financially struggling because of COVID expenses and lost revenue.

The deadline to apply is September 13th. Access the information for the Phase 2 distribution on the HHS website.
