Resources for Personal Care and Assisted Living Communities

OLTL Adult Residential Licensing List Serv

This announcement and the attached digital flyer are being provided with the intent to increase awareness of a variety of resources that may be available to Personal Care Homes (PCH) and Assisted Living Residences (ALR) that are struggling to find the resources to serve their most vulnerable residents.

Because PCHs and ALRs are not generally publicly funded, the amount of direct assistance available to providers is limited. The Bureau of Human Services Licensing is providing this information if your facility is struggling  to provide care and assistance to our most vulnerable populations. To that end, a 1-page digital resource flyer is attached to this announcement. Each of the resources included in the flyer includes a hyperlink that will direct you to the organization/entity’s web site.  (Please be aware that the flyer may not load correctly on some smartphone based PDF readers.)

In addition to the information included in the flyer, the Bureau of Human Services Licensing also offers scholarships for the PCHA 100-hour course and the Medication Administration Train-the-Trainer program to facilities that serve residents who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Eligibility requirements and applications for these scholarships can be accessed by clicking the links above.

Questions about this communication can be directed to ra-pwarlheadquarters@pa.gov.

As always, thank you for your tireless work in supporting the vulnerable populations in your care.
